The Isle of Arran is one of the favourite locations for the scripts of this film company. Although based in Glasgow, Arran is the ideal setting for the themes of Goat & Drum's films: the vision of a microcosm of diversity that stretches through both nature and humanity.
The film Parallel Realmswas filmed and edited with Ryan Hunt and sound recorded and edited by Ethan Smith. We were called Even in The Dark Films back then. The cast and crew piloted the ethos of Creative Ensemble which is the material that Carrie Day Director brings through in her workshops and trainings.
Gobhar is the new short film which is going out for festivals February 2026. It is filmed entirely on the Isle of Arran.
The Scottish Quartet is the feature film which grows out of Gobhar and filming has commenced with crowd funding raising funds for shoots in June and August 2026 to go into postproduction for Autumn 2026 and Winter 2027.
