Why this work is important

Well being

Research is suggesting that introducing a well being model to film making improves performance, creativity, inclusive practice and positive relationships for all involved in the filmmaking process, from the tea maker, to the actor, to the producer, editor, camera person, environment and weather alike.  In the classes and supervision sessions, Carrie Day shares the model they use and helps directors and producers to set up a structure for the team, In classes, time is given to practice and demonstrate the style through involvement and discussion.

Gestalt constellation

Bringing in the gestalt and constellation methodology to a script or an idea can reveal so much and open up the field of the actor as well as the field of the environment.  The classes and longer courses really enable participants to experience the power and enrichment of the process and have access to the more animistic communication in the story fields. This may be palpable in the power of the craft and the strength of the production.  The longer course teaches ways to bring this methodology into directing styles.
